Chobani has a line of ‘flip’ yogurt creations packaged in a two-compartment container that you bend at one corner to add a variety of ingredients to a portion of Greek yogurt. I’ve been seeing them around for quite some time and finally got a chance to try one out.
Chocolate Haze Craze is comprised of chocolate-hazelnut flavored low-fat yogurt (1.5% milkfat) with a side of milk chocolate chips and small pieces of hazelnuts. I felt that the chocolate-hazelnut flavored yogurt had an odd tarty flavor to it, but overall, I enjoyed the combination of all the ingredients together. The hazelnuts add a tasty crunch to the yogurt, while the milk chocolate chips provide sweetness and more texture.
The Chobani Greek yogurt uses only natural ingredients that are non-GMO; contains no artificial flavors or sweeteners; no preservatives; has three types of probiotics; is gluten-free; vegetarian friendly; and includes live and active cultures.
The Chocolate Haze Craze Flip is 230 calories, and is packed with 12 grams of protein (24% of your recommended daily value – RDV) and 15% of your RDV of calcium.
One thing I did notice about the product is when bending the ingredient compartment to ‘flip’ towards the yogurt, I thought it was surprisingly inflexible. It’s not an effortless flip, in my opinion. I had to put a little force behind it, so much so that I thought the container was going to break in two pieces. But, that’s just a minor observation that I made.
The Chobani Greek Yogurt Flip line has an extensive variety of options to consider, from fruity concoctions (like Pure Pear and Honey) to more desserty ones, like Apple Crisp Twist (made with apple cinnamon low-fat yogurt, spiced walnuts, cinnamon crunch and glazed pie crust pieces).
Would I buy this again? Yes, I enjoyed the yogurt overall. I feel it could tide someone over until dinnertime, and also think the Chocolate Haze Craze Chobani Greek Yogurt Flip makes a satisfying option when looking to have a healthier dessert.
