Bath and Body Works Pleasures Shampoo

bathbodypleasures2On one of my travels, I saved every trial size of Bath and Body Works Pleasures Volumizing Shampoo I got my hands on – so much so that airline security joked that “someone had definitely raided the housekeeping cart” when my luggage went through the scanners.  I couldn’t help it, the Coconut Lime Verbena aroma of the shampoo, conditioner, and lotion took a stronghold of my senses and I became an instant fan.

The overall shampoo experience with the Bath and Body Works Pleasures Shampoo is luxuriating and uplifting. The combination of real coconut oils and citrus adds an almost sensual touch to washing your hair. The shampoo and conditioner also add bounce and body to my tired curls. The scent intoxicatingly lingers in the air like a come hither stare. Honestly, you’ll turn heads.

What is Verbena?verbena

I can distinctly identify the scent of lime and coconut in the shampoo, but cannot figure out the role verbena plays in the mix. Since I don’t know what verbena actually is, I decided to look it up. Verbena blooms from spring to fall – doubling as an annual or perennial in frost-free climates. Plants grow in clumps, producing flowers in shades of mauve, purple, white, pink, apricot and red. Popular as a hanging basket plant, it also works well in rock gardens and window boxes. I suppose upon further investigation, there is a slightly flowery afterthought in the shampoo.
