Posted on Monday, July 26th, 2010
I confess, I’m an avid reader and a book hoard, but I’m finding it harder and harder to completely finish a book. that’s why I’ve decided to track the books that I’m reading and have read (as of July 2010) to encourage myself to finish the books that I start.
I’m Currently Reading…
My Book Wish List
- Last Exit to Brooklyn – by Hubert Selby, Jr.
- Life is Hot in Cracktown – by Buddy Giovinazzo
- Gold Boy, Emerald Girl - by Yiyun Li
- World War Z – Max Brooks
- The Passage – Justin Cronin
- The Millennium Trilogy - by Stieg Larsson:
1. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
2. The Girl Who Played with Fire
3. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest
Finished
I’d also love to hear your current reading list and recommendations.

I was thinking about doing this. I have so many books in my TBR pile and I have to make the time to read them.
On my nightstand from my TBR pile that I am going to start reading first:
1. gods in Alabama – Joshilyn Jackson
2. the CRADLE – Patrick Somerville
3. Velocity – Dean Koontz
4. All He Ever Wanted – Anita Shreve
Thanks for sharing Janet! Just looked up gods in Alabama – that sounds INTERESTING! Let me know how it turns out.
These are on my list too:
1. Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
2. The Girl Who Played with Fire
3. The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest
The 3rd in the Hunger Games Series, Mockingjay, comes out this month and I’m so excited, so that will probably be my next read.

I bought Dragon Tattoo and Played with Fire recently. The third book cost double the price of the other two, so Im gonna have to wait for a Border’s coupon or something.
I just finished reading “Night” by Elie Wiesel. A true account of the life at the Auschwitz concentration camp of himself as a teenager. I’ve always been interested in the human aspect of this whole horror of the reign of Hitler but this particular book broke my heart & left me speechless!! It’s a very small book but filled with horror & heartbreak!
Thanks for sharing Carrie. I just spent a bit of time looking up information on Elie Wiesel. I also learned that the literary agent he had when he published ‘Night’ in 1960 is the same one of today. If I come across this book, I think I will pick it up.
