Go Raw Organic Carrot Cake Super Cookies
Posted on Friday, February 1st, 2013
If you’re looking to snack on something that resembles carrot cake, don’t let the name of Go Raw Organic Carrot Cake Super Cookies fool you. Despite visible flecks of shredded carrot, a nice serving of vitamin C, and a snappy crunch, I was unfortunately disappointed with the delivery of this snack treat.
I believe the raw carrot taste excessively dominates the overall flavor of the treat. I also found this particular selection drier in texture than the other Super Cookies I have tried (Masala Chai and Lemon), and often found myself choking after eating a couple. Bits of carrot even linger in the back of my throat. Because of this – I will not purchase this flavor again.
Organic Coconut (Unsulphured), Sprouted Organic Sesame Seeds, Organic Carrots, Organic Dates, Organic Nutmeg
The Health Factor
Super Cookies contain no wheat, gluten, nuts, GMOs, trans fat or cholesterol. They are vegan, and a certified organic product. The Go Raw Super Cookies are also sweetened by organic dates, which satisfy the requirements of someone following the Wheat Belly Diet.
Go Raw Super Cookies are made with high-quality organic ingredients from certified local growers. The snacks are made with sprouted, live seeds, which enhance the nutritional benefits of the food. Sprouted seeds are also much easier to digest when they are dried less than 105 degrees F. The Super Cookies are handmade by a family-owned company that uses an all-raw kitchen.
