I’ve been out of commission for a while…pinched nerve in my back had me side-lined for a bit, but I’m slowly easing back into normal activities. This includes taking advantage of the warmer days (when I can) and enjoying a workout in the outdoors, which is where my complimentary sample of Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes comes in.
I know most people will find these pre-moistened towelettes convenient for removing cosmetics, as the wipes are “clinically proven to completely remove dirt, oil and makeup without greasy residue,” but I had different plans for this product…
I play basketball with my sweetie in the warmer months for exercise. It’s a great workout, but by the end of a one-hour session – I’m red in the cheeks, and my face was covered with a mixture of melted sunscreen, salt, grime and sweat. My skin is also touched by the sun, which means that most of my facial cleansers are too harsh during this sensitive phase. I decided to use my Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes as an ideal solution to cleaning my face without causing undue irritation.
Since the Neutrogena Cleansing Towelettes do not contain any harsh chemicals, alcohol, sulfates, parabens, dyes or phthalates, I did not experience any discomfort, burning or stinging sensations. The soft texture of the wipes is also gentle on my slightly sun-burned skin. The first time I used the towelettes to clean my face, I let out a gratifying sigh. There’s a slight cooling effect that actually soothed my skin. After looking at the results, I was mortified and completely turned off that this is what happens after a hard workout. Gross.
These towelettes represent just one item from the Neutrogena Naturals line – there’s more to consider including a facial cleanser, moisturizer, body bar, and lip balm. I know that for future grimy, sweaty workouts – I will be reaching for Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleaning Towelettes to cleanse and soothe my skin.
