During a recent trip to one of my favorite stores (Marshalls), I came across three finds:
One I gifted
One I came home with for myself
And, one I had no use for, but would have loved to own.
Lamb Art with Creative Frame
The wooden frame of this wall art is ultra-creative.
It looks like a barn door – complete with metal handle and hinges. I love the 3-D look of the frame. The cute-yet-slightly-crazed looking lamb is an illustration on canvas. I just think the whole artwork is adorable…and would really add character to a baby’s nursery or young child’s room. Unfortunately, I have no use for this, so I had to leave it behind.
This piece of wall art is priced at $19.99.
Kitchen Towels with a ‘Y’
Do you know how hard it is to find anything monogrammed with the ‘Y’ initial?
It’s extremely difficult. I guess it could be worse…my name could start with an ‘X’ or a ‘Z.’ Anyhow, I found a set of two kitchen towels in the clearance section for $3, and happily added them to my cart. Marshalls also had ‘X’ and ‘W’ in the discounted pile.
Dog Mug with Gold Headphones
Do you know how hard it was to gift this mug to my nephew and not keep it for myself?
It was almost painful to follow through with the plan, but I knew I had to. A little nudging from my mother also helped layer on the guilt. When I saw this cute lil’ mug…I knew I had to get it for my music-loving nephew who also loves quirky mugs (like I do).
The earphones are metallic gold, so it can’t go in the microwave, which I doubt is an issue for him. My brother has DJ skills too, so this mug has even more meaning. It cost $3, and he really liked it.
