If you’re cutting out wheat, gluten and sugar from your diet, then you know it’s not that easy to come by products on the market that don’t contain those “forbidden” ingredients. I have to search (sometimes far and wide) to compensate for the things I need to add flavor to the foods and meals that I cook. Bragg Liquid Aminos is a tasty lifesaver.
My brother introduced me to the all-purpose seasoning called Bragg Liquid Aminos – it’s a healthy substitute for soy sauce and tamari. He makes a mean pan-fried, boneless, skinless chicken breast using it. The natural soy sauce alternative is made from soy protein (vegetable protein from soybeans) and purified water. The product is gluten free, NON GMO project verified, and contains no preservatives.
Bragg Liquid Aminos contains 16 essential and non-essential amino acids, including leusine, arginine, glycine, and proline. So, not only do you receive the nutrition that you need, but it also offers a tantalizing taste that truly enhances the flavor of your meals.
To date, I’ve only used the liquid aminos to season my boneless, skinless chicken and used it as a soy sauce when making ‘stir-fry’ recipes. Suggested usages include salads, soups, vegetables, casseroles, potatoes, tofu, jerky, rice & beans, popcorn, meats, fish, wok meals, and to make a tasty broth.
One serving is ½ teaspoon, and contains 310 mg of protein and 160 mg of naturally occurring sodium.
There is less than one carb and no calories per serving.
Bragg is the name of a doctor-approved and designed product line that specializes in healthy products, including olive oil, apple cider vinegar, seasonings, and salad dressings – I’ve also tried a couple of their all-natural, gluten-free, organic salad dressings, and they come in really tasty, fruity, flavors, like Braggberry and Hawaiian Dressing & Marinade.
