We Love Kidzsacks!
Posted on Sunday, September 26th, 2010
Encouraging creativity and a young imagination to blossom is just one of the many valuable gifts a parent can give to their children. I love the idea of Kidzsacks – not only because it allows a child to explore their artistic talents, but because it’s also a green product. Recommended for ages 4 and up, the award-winning Kidzsack is an eco-friendly backsack that your child can color over and over again.
Kidzsacks are made with 100% recycled fabric (cotton scraps and recycled polyester made from plastic soda bottles) and come with 8 non-toxic markers. Another eco-friendly plus – the Kidzsack is reusable. Wash in hot water with liquid detergent and your child can color it again. Just remember not to use chlorine bleach for obvious reasons.
We received a custom beach-themed Kidzsack to review, which is pretty cool since my 5-year-old nephew is into underwater creatures. When I told him that after you wash the sack, you can color it again, he said ‘cool!’ Focused and determined to color all of the water brown, he almost had an absolute meltdown when I tried to ‘help’ him. I did manage to color a fish or two along the way, but he was very happy with his Kidzsack and proud that he finished coloring it without my assistance.
The Kidzsack is large enough to carry hundreds of action figures, sports equipment, art supplies, books and a wide range of other goodies. Inside, there is also a cute little pouch that I noticed at the last minute. My nephew is currently using his Kidzsack to carry around his new non-toxic washable markers.
Other Kidzsack designs include the following themes: castle, jungle, sea life, and sports. To check out another Kidzsack theme, Samantha has one posted at 2 Lil Muffins .
Disclaimer – I received a lovely beach-themed Kidzsack from Tina Hill (inventor of the Kidzsack) to review with my nephew. My opinions are completely my own.

Awe. He is precious! I love his concentrated look in the 2nd pic – he looks like he was really enjoying this.

Thanks Sam. He is a stinker, that’s for sure. He almost bit my head off when I suggested he color the water ‘blue’ – he was deadset on making it brown and telling me that it was dirt.
