What Does Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing Taste Like?

Offering 70% less fat and 64% fewer calories than leading brands, Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing is a deliciously lower-calorie product made without preservatives and artificial flavors. The texture of the gluten-free salad dressing is heightened by the presence of onion puree, garlic puree and cheese. You can see bits of cilantro (and cheese). At any moment, your taste buds may zero in on the cheesiness, or the bits of slightly crunchy onion, or the pop of cilantro, or the creamy avocado-yogurt base. It’s a versatile dressing, for sure

One serving of Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing is two (2) tablespoons, which is only 40 calories. The dressing has 3.5 grams of total fat versus the 10 grams of fat typically found in other leading brands.

While there are plenty of ways to enjoy Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing, my top suggestions are below:

Use the Dressing on a Wendy’s Apple Pecan Chicken Salad

One of my favorite on-the-go meals is Wendy’s Apple Pecan Chicken Salad, which is made with ‘red and green apples, crumbled blue cheese, sweet cranberries, roasted pecans, warm grilled chicken.’ It comes with two packets of 100-calorie, surgery pomegranate salad dressing (Marzetti Simply Dressed Pomegranate Vinaigrette), and a packet of sugar-coated pecans meant to serve as a crunchy topping. However, when I want to avoid what I call “unnecessary calories” and sugar, I use a different dressing.

For a fruity, sugar-free, superfood-packed option, I suggest Bragg’s BRAGGBERRY ™ Organic Dressing & Marinade to mimic the pomegranate vinaigrette, but if you want a creamier salad dressing, Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing is a flavorful winner.

Substitute Bleu Cheese with Dressing for a Chicken Wing/Nugget Dip

Try substituting bleu cheese dressing for this Bolthouse Farms dressing and you’ll enjoy an herbier, lower-fat, lower-calorie dip for your fried wings and chicken nuggets/tenders.

Pair the Dressing with Carrot Chips

Sometimes, you can fall in love with a vegetable all over again…just by switching up its shape. I love the crunch of baby carrots, but my new thing is carrot chips. Dipped in Bolthouse Farms Cilantro Avocado Yogurt Salad Dressing, you have a tasty midday snack (or unique appetizer tray option).

I’m looking forward to trying a few other flavors – Bolthouse Farms makes a pretty extensive line of creamy, refrigerated salad dressings, like Cucumber Ranch, Caramelized Sweet Onion, Mango Chipotle, and Creamy Balsamic.
