If it’s one thing I’ve learned about my pooch is that she loves toys that make noise, and the YOGADOG Plush Rhino is perfect for her because it doesn’t just have one squeaker inside, but a total of five. The stuffed toy makes a noise when you squeeze its stomach, and has individual squeakers at the ends of both arms and legs. She loves this toy. I also think that the ribbed texture of the toy’s exterior is fun for her to chew on. I read that this is supposed to promote cleaner teeth too (bonus!).
The dog toy is made to be more resistant to bite than regular plush toys, and I agree with this statement. My dog is a destructive chewer, and she really goes to town on a toy…but sadly, my mischievous nephew who insisted on playing tug-o-war with it, ruined all the fun. Rosey held on for dear life, and there went a leg. It ripped right off, and I was so upset with him. The stitching on the limbs isn’t the strongest, in my opinion. However, I feel that the physical appearance of the toy would have lasted much longer if my nephew wasn’t so rough with it.
Rosey on the other hand, did not care that the leg ripped off. She later played with the leg like a regular toy (because of the squeaker), in addition to the rest of the mangled rhino. After she pulled most of the filling out, I removed the rest and the inner squeaker; and she still drags this rhino around like a security blanket.
Like I said, she loves squeakers, and the fact that there are so many present…is a huge plus. This toy is highly recommended for a squeaker-loving pooch, but if you have two dogs that might ‘fight’ over toys, might not be the best idea.
