You Should Really Make a Smoothie using Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Greek Yogurt

It all started with a clearance cooler at the local grocery store, single serving sizes of Dannon Oikos Triple Zero Greek yogurt were marked down to 60 cents. As a huge fan of Greek yogurt, I could not resist and came home with the Peach and Mixed Berry varieties. Since cutting my intake of sugar and trying to eliminate all that artificial mumble jumble from my diet, I was excited to see this product. I’ve been purchasing plain Greek yogurt and adding my own sweetener/flavors, so this way, I get sugar-free flavored Greek yogurt without the extra hassle.

So, what does ‘triple zero’ mean?

  • Zero added sugar
  • Zero artificial sweeteners
  • Zero fat

I really like these numbers, or lack thereof, I should say.

And, did I mention the 15 grams of protein you get per 5.3 ounce serving? That’s a whopping 30% of your recommended daily value (RDV). Also, the yogurt offers 6 grams of fiber, which is 24% of your RDV. Insert happy dance here. And, for that same serving, the total calorie count is only 120 calories. The yogurt itself is sweetened just right (with stevia), and provides spoonful after spoonful of creamy goodness.

My favorite way to eat Oikos Vanilla Triple Zero yogurt (available in a convenient 32-ounce container) is by combining:

  • 1 cup of the Greek yogurt + a sprinkle of cinnamon
  • One cubed apple
  • Chopped walnuts

What a way to enjoy a tasty, protein-packed start to the day, or an energizing lunch!

But, it also makes a delicious mango smoothie that’ll satisfy an ice cream craving quick!

Mango Yogurt Smoothie

  • ½ cup of milk (or ‘milk’ of choice – like almond milk)
  • ¾ cup of frozen mango

  • 1 Oikos Triple Zero Vanilla Greek Yogurt drink
  • ¾ cup of frozen mango

Add all ingredients into a blender or Magic Bullet-type of appliance, and blend.

Other Dannon Oikos Triple Zero yogurt flavors: Strawberry, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter Banana, Chocolate, Coffee, Cherry, Apple Cinnamon, Coconut Crème, Orange Crème (yum!), and Banana Crème (delicious).

Fun Fact: Triple Zero is the ‘official yogurt of the NFL for all of you football fans!
